Le Sirop de MONIN Orange

Le Sirop de MONIN Orange

Discovered in China during Antiquity, the orange appeared in Europe in the 16th century after navigators’ travels. A winter fruit adored across the world, the orange is loved for its shape, flavourful and juicy pulp, and its naturally sweet and slightly sour taste. From the common blond orange to the sanguine orange, this fruit is a major ingredient in cooking and baking. Its juice, zest and flesh provide a true balance between freshness and acidity. It goes really well with spices like cinnamon and star anis, but also with chocolate and exotic fruits.

Le Sirop de MONIN Orange and its smell of fresh orange zest will allow you to create a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Try it in an iced-tea, orangeade or in a Rum Old Fashioned.

The MONIN Tips

It is a great pair to a number of fruits, especially other citruses, orchard fruits like peach or apricot, exotic fruits like mango or kiwi, but also with aromatic herbs such as thyme, verbena or sage. The sourness of this syrup will not fare well in milk-based drinks. Why not try it in a Highball with some vodka or gin, in a fresh Cold Brew coffee or in a Moscow Mule to add an original yet familiar twist to this classic.
